Fraud Scams are on the Rise!
Here's How to Protect your Account!
Know the Red Flags
Fraudsters can tap into your emotions and catch anyone off guard at times. Stop, Think, Validate!
RECEIVING A CALL OR TEXT
Have you received a call from someone claiming to be Seasons Federal Credit Union asking to verify personal account information?
We may contact you regarding an account issue or to ask if you made a particular card transaction.
BUT we will NEVER call or text you and ask for these things!
- Debit card Personal Identification Numbers (PIN)
- The CVV 3 digit security number on the back of your cards
- Online and Mobile Banking passwords
- One-time passcodes sent to you via text or phone
- Full account numbers
- Personal information like how long you have been a member, your online security question answers
Because of the increase in spoofed caller ID, it’s possible that the fraudsters may even appear to be calling you from a Seasons phone number. But if they call you and ask for any of the information above, you can be sure it’s a fraudster.
CALLING SEASONS FCU
Calls you make to us are different than calls made to you. When you call us directly we might ask you some verifying questions to insure that we are speaking to the person you say you are. Nobody should ever be calling you asking the information above. Be skeptical, hang up and call us directly at 860-346-6614.
TRUST YOUR GUT
If you receive a phone call, text, or email asking any of these questions, it is best to end all communication. Instead, reach out directly to a Branch or our Contact Center to assist or review any account concerns. If you feel you've been compromised, change passwords for online/mobile banking and call us immediately.
